Wow, SEAPCP Participants 2008 are very active! Amazing Where are SEAPCP participants of 2007? Very passive, very bad. Come on, let's share some experience and keep being active with our SEAPCP network. Oh, SEAPCP 2008 participants might not know who I am. Let me do a self-introduction, get to know each other and share for a better world.

This is Socheat (Mr.), SEAPCP 2007 participant from Cambodia. I graduate from Royal University of Phnom Penh, Cambodia in the major of Philosophy. I had been working for a Japanese NGO named Shanti Volunteer Association for almost 2 years with Urban Slum Children. It focuses on supporting non-formal education to slum children. I am currently working for the Southeast Asia Development Program (SADP) through Partnership Program. SADP is currently supporting few local NGOs in Cambodia dealing with community empowerment.

Most of our target community is facing with land issues, mining issues, economic and social land concession, illegal logging, etc. These issues are affecting their lives and also the environment. The community people addresses these issues by themselves together with other communities with the support of NGOs and community organizers.

Could anyone share your steps of organizing community? Then we can start discussing for a better and effective strategy.
